SWTOR Smuggler Gunslinger Leveling and PVE Build
The leveling and PVE spec that I wanted to go for with my Smuggler Gunslinger was AOE attacks. I felt that with AOE attacks, I can easily take on large group of mobs quickly without having too much trouble.
For leveling, I am not much of a one vs one DPS kind of girl because I find that it takes up too much of my time when I am leveling. You may want to try a different spec if you do not favor AOE attacks. My leveling and PVE build that I completed for my Gunslinger is 0/21/20.
This hybrid Smugger Gunslinger build of spec'ing into the Saboteur and Dirty Fighting talent tree allowed me to churn out lots of AOE attacks. On average, I was able to take on 5-6 mobs without any trouble.
I had built a pure Gunslinger spec previously, but it did not work out as well as I expected. This was because I had noticed that NPC's were usually all grouped together and by using this build, I was able to quickly melt the grouped NPC's with my AOE attacks.

Hence the expression 'Write once, run anywhere.' Starting with J2SE 5.0, changes to the JVM specification have been developed under the Java Community Process as JSR 924. The availability of JVMs on many types of hardware and software platforms enables Java to function both as middleware and a platform in its own right. As of 2006, changes to specification to support changes proposed to the class file format (JSR 202) are being done as a maintenance release of JSR 924. Download java 6 for mac el capitan.
I found that leveling as a Smuggler Scoundrel worked best for me when I was playing with my friends or in a big party. Keep this in mind as I explain to you my leveling and PVE build for my Scoundrel.
For my Gunslinger, I opted to spec into the Sawbone talent tree and split the remainder of my points into Scrapper and Dirty Fighting talent trees. The main focus of this build was to be a superior healer so that I could have as lots survivability for my teammates and I on the battlefield. The leveling and PVE build I committed to at level 50 with my Scoundrel is 33/3/5.
This build was very useful for my teammates and I in Heroics and Flashpoints. Also, if I wanted to solo mobs, the Sawbone spec build is very viable with a strong tank companion. Below is my completed leveling and PVE build at level 50 for my Scoundrel.

SWTOR Smuggler FAQ by ajwells
I’m going to answer the top three questions Smugglers have in one place.
Best Gunslinger Build Swtor
1) Cover isn’t working! HELP!
You’re right. The cover ability isn’t working properly, and has problems. That means the button that starts on your hotbar. Bioware will eventually fix the problem, but keep in mind it took 7 years for Blizzard to fix Warrior Charge, so don’t hold your breath. No offense, Bioware.
The fix? Remove the Take Cover ability from your hotbar. Instead, use the dedicated cover key F or MOUSE 3.

Its fabulous. Its updated regularly. And is WAY nicer than I am.
2) Is my primary stat Aim or Cunning?
CUNNING
I’m copy/pasting right from the in-game Codex via TORHead here:
Swtor Smuggler Scoundrel Or Gunslinger
Primary Attribute: CunningCunning increases the damage and critical chances of the Smuggler’s Ranged and Tech powers. This remains so for both the Gunslinger and the Scoundrel Advanced Classes, while the Scoundrel’s Cunning additionally increases the effectiveness of healing powers. |
Swtor Gunslinger Or Scoundrel Dmg 3
Aim has almost 0 affect on us, and only would affect Ranged abilities anyway, which most of the Smuggler/Scoundrel/Gunslinger abilities are not.
3) What AC should I pick? Scoundrel or Gunslinger?
I give my answer, and the Codex’s answer below.
If you like the cover system and prefer ranged combat: Gunslinger. This is your bread and butter. Gunslinger has high burst and sustained DPS, and can serve as an off-tank in a pinch with certain specs.
Advanced Class: GunslingerMaster of the trick shot, the first to dive for cover and able to take advantage of every opportunity, the Gunslinger and his dual blasters are the perfect team. There’s a right target for ending every disagreement, and the Gunslinger knows enemy vulnerabilities like the inside of his ship. All Gunslingers learn how to fire two blasters at once, specializing in long-range combat and methods to keep enemies at a distance. Gunslingers can also opt to learn the skills of the Saboteur, using grenades and demolitions technology that cause fire damage and ignore enemy armor; the Sharpshooter, shooting from cover and focusing on precise, high-damage attacks; and Dirty Fighting, crippling and bleeding opponents using underhanded tactics. |
If you don’t like cover and would prefer to be in melee or heal: Scoundrel. Scoundrel has a mix of abilities in/out of cover, from melee/range, and gets Stealth. https://golcommunications.netlify.app/quickbooks-mac-download.html. D&d 5th ed dmg. You also have the Sawbones tree, which does some excellent healing.
Advanced Class: ScoundrelThe Scoundrel doesn’t have time for polite and doesn’t do fair fight. In addition to a trusty blaster, the Scoundrel packs a stealth belt, a scattergun and a medpac–everything you need to get in, knock the enemy for a loop and get out alive. All Scoundrels learn how to move stealthily–sneaking past or surprising enemies–and various close-quarters fighting techniques that do damage at short range and prevent an enemy from fleeing. Scoundrels can also opt to learn the skills of the Scrapper, using scatterguns to deal even more damage close-up; the Sawbones, applying medicine and damage prevention techniques to heal and protect allies; and Dirty Fighting, crippling and bleeding opponents using underhanded tactics. |
But i’m not into either of those: Roll a new class. Sorry. If you don’t like either of those options, pick another class. You have to like one of those two options to enjoy the Smuggler class, as well as money. Always Credits.
